The crew of the Heretics Bane makes its preparations to follow Rogue Trader Harstack. Following the trajectory that they were given they make the jump into the warp, which the navigator estimates will take about a week. When they exit the warp the chronometer reads 8 days but Jarnan and Kayne feel like it’s been a month or so while Venari feels like it’s been a year. He promptly looses his shit while Emmaus calmly points out that its only been 8 days. Quickly bringing himself back under control Venari orders scan performed to try and find Harstack’s ship. Emmaus, working the scanners, finds no trace of Harstack’s cruiser. There are however 4 planets in the system. Two gas giants, one smaller planet closer to the main star that is essentially molten slag and the last one which seems to be habitable. It’s decided to move the ship into a geostationary orbit with the dark side of the planet and take a shuttle dirtside. Kayne brings along 5 of his crack crew as a security detail. As they begin their descent Emmaus makes a quick scan of the planet. It appears to be quite primitive with no signs of technology other then one odd signal. Moving in closer the crew is shocked to see that the cruiser has been crashed into the planet and is still burning. After a “quick” tactical discussion the crew decides to go with Kayne’s plan of rappelling down through a breach in the hull of the cruiser. I’m sure everything will work out fine…….
