Venari Hallerman (Rogue Trader) – John Kynnoch (Navigator) – Jesse Jarnan Morgun (Missionary) – Jon Emmaus Kore (Void Master) – Kevin GM – Neil The shuttle pilot attempts to pull up as the bear/bat creature rapidly scales the wall of the cliff trying to grab at the shuttle. Venari orders them to come around and the door gunner scores a couple of hits that do minimal damage to its thick hide. Jarnan has the idea to toss a promethium canister down at the creature as someone attempts to shoot it.He makes a perfect throw and the gunner hits it, bathing the monster in flames, killing it. With the immediate threat contained, they scan the cave to see what else maybe in there. To no one’s surprise the scan reveals another adult creature but it also reveals 7 smaller life forms. With that in mind they head back to the landing area and contact the Heretics Bane, summoning the 100 mercs to duty, along with some of Jarnan’s acolytes. Venari attempts to give a rousing speech to the troops that goes over like a lead ballon and just winds up bullying them into action. To alleviate some of their “concern” the command crew goes with them into battle. As they approach the cave entrance, the enraged female charges the horde of mercs. Their combined firepower is able to make fairly quick work of the creature with minimal loss of life. The juveniles are easily dispatched and the cave cleared. Venari has the dead collected and gives them a funeral with full honors cementing his control over the mercenaries under his command. House Jullusus is contacted and given the all clear.
