In the dark of the morning, that's what John tells us. It was dark when Mary makes her way to the tomb.
In the dark of the morning, she discovers that Jesus has risen from the dead. She runs to the disciples and makes a declaration to them, "I have seen the Lord." That declaration she made to them is also to us.
