Strange Tales #104-109 (April 1963)

On this episode, we discuss Strange Tales #104-109, featuring the first appearance of Paste Pot Pete, aka The Trapster!

We also discuss the events of April, 1963, including the world’s first lung transplant, and the beginning of the Birmingham Campaign which led to Martin Luther King Jr. penning his famous, “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” in which he admonishes those who spoke out against his campaign of nonviolent resistance.

Notes:

  • To our knowledge, Jack Nicklaus never actually claimed to have invented the Arnold Palmer.
  • Tobiah mentions Czechoslovakia, which dissolved in 1993, in the context of gay rights. He meant to say Chechnya.
