Southwest Symphony Hour 17 - Pops Americana Concert

At Classical Music Discoveries we love summer here in Southern Utah! The beautiful mountains, deserts, Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park and list goes on and on.

Of course summer also brings Independence Day here in the United States on July 4th. Much of the country becomes quite patriotic in July and we, here at Classical Music Discoveries, are no exception.

So it is with great pride that we bring to you the final concert of the 2012/2013 Season of the Southwest Symphony Orchestra as they perform their annual Pops Americana concert. This concert features mostly American music and also the orchestra pays homage to our cherished veterans.

Just a note, this concert was performed outdoors with rain continually threatening to shorten the concert. So you may hear some thunder in the background during the performance. But fortunately, the clouds decided to wait until the concert was over before unleashing its full torrent of rain.

So now, we are proud to bring to you Pops Americana as performed by the Southwest Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Maestro Gary Caldwell.
