Since the 1920’s Argentine and Uruguayan composers have been using tango as a tool for breaking the wall between popular and classical music. Tango musicians and classically trained composers have put together an impressive body of works in this Classical Tango style. This program showcases some of their accomplishments, including a fresh version of Jose Bragato’s masterpiece “Graciela and Buenos Aires.”
