Our Black History Month celebration continues this week with a program on the great bandleader Duke Ellington. I narrowed the program down to two exciting years in the Ellington band history because they were two of his most prolific. Many of Duke's biggest hits were composed and recorded during 1940 and 1941. Also, Duke was composing with his composing and arranging partner, Billy Strayhorn. I hope you enjoy the music of the late Duke Ellington and his Famous Orchestra. (That's how he was billed back then) Please visit this podcast at http://www.fgmiller.com/bbb/
