These fake theories circulating about the Hoggs have resulted in death threats against the family which the mother, Melissa Hogg told the Washington Post. One specific bully was President Donald Trump's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. who liked the fake conspiracy theory on his social media and now the family and the 17-yr. old son who is very outspoken about what happened in his school, and about gun control has become a target for conspiracy theorists and death threats.
