I think I’m getting the hang of this. Tales From The Drop Box 149 contains the perfect song mix. Not really. I am playing a bunch of songs that I think you’ll like and perhaps if enough of you spread the word, then these songs will find a new life – long after I am gone. It is truly unfortunate that so few people will actually discover the genius in these artists, many who will call it a day before their genius is discovered. Not all of the tracks in this show are genius…that is not the point. Rather, I’m playing some songs I believe in, for any number of reasons. None are perfect (except perhaps the Otoboke Beaver track). Perfection is not the standard for rock n roll. Give these tracks a chance, buy an album, spin the record, and be transported.
As always, crank this mother up. Music is for feeling, not just listening.
Here is what you’ll find in Episode 149:
Each dollar a bullet each victim someone’s son and Americans kill Irishmen
as surely as if they fired the gun . . . .I cannot help but feel a tremor
when I buy oatmeal at the store because the radio is jammin’ . . .
