episode 54: Il Mortirolo | Kilometre 0

Tuesday’s 16th stage of the Giro d’Italia has given up the Gavia but the riders in the race would have preferred the bad weather to spare them the Mortirolo. The first of the ‘Corsa Rosa’s’ überclimbs, an evil mineshaft cut through forests once supposedly roamed by witches & brigands, it remains one of cycling’s most feared cult locations.
In this episode of Kilometre 0, through the voices of men who have climbed it & the man who ‘discovered’ it - ex-Giro boss Carmine Castellano - we tell the Mortirolo’s story.
Kilometre 0 is supported by Hansgrohe.
