episode 63: Stage 21 | Verona – Verona | Giro d’Italia 2019

The Giro d’Italia finished in Verona with Richard Carapaz giving Ecuador its first Grand Tour win in front of thousands of his countrymen and women.
In the final podcast from the Giro we hear from Carapaz’s fans and there are interviews with his team’s manager, Eusebio Unzuee and from the third-placed Primoz Roglic’s manager Richard Plugge. We also hear the best and worst from some of the riders in the Giro and from Hugh Carthy and our honorary Pedaleur de Charme, Gianni Savio. And we reprise one of the podcast’s finest moments, with Larry Warbasse reading a passage of Ernest Hemingway’s A Farewell to Arms.
The Cycling Podcast is supported by Rapha and Science in Sport.
The music for this episode is by Amaraterra (http://amaraterra.bandcamp.com)
