episode 87: La Planche des Belles Filles | Kilometre 0

For a climb only introduced in 2012, La Planche des Belles Filles in the Vosges Mountains has become a fixture in the Tour de France.

It has also been decisive: on each of its three previous visits the rider in yellow after the stage has gone on to win the Tour.

In 2019 the mountain is back with a twist — a new, tougher finish on an unpaved road.

In this episode we hear from Tour director Christian Prudhomme, from Thibaut Pinot’s brother and coach Julien, from riders Adam Yates, Dan Martin, Guillaume Martin and Nicholas Roche and team bosses Dave Brailsford, Matt White and Geert Van Bondt.
