episode 146: Lyft: Nilka Thomas

Nilka Thomas is the VP of Talent & Inclusion at Lyft, where she serves as a strategic business partner to senior leadership focused on a broad-based and transformational talent agenda designed to recruit, develop and retain the very best innovative talent in the business and build a world-class organizational culture.  In this role, she oversees global talent acquisition, employee relations and inclusion, ensuring that Lyfts’ diversity efforts are seamlessly integrated from the earliest candidate touchpoints and individual Lyft team members’ ongoing experiences inside the workplace.    Prior to joining Lyft, she spent 13 years at Google providing strategic thought leadership on issues affecting the women and communities of color, as well as designing programs to cultivate the next generation of Black and Latino Tech leaders right in the communities where they live.    Ms. Thomas received her BA in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Oregon, where she was an All American in Track & Field.
