Dino Crisis – Cane and Rinse No.376

“That’s disgusting” Stop me if you've heard this one before. A crack team of specially trained operatives are sent to investigate the mysterious goings on at a hidden research facility. However, something deadly has taken residence in the halls of the now abandoned structure, and it's hungry. Yes, we're talking about the other Shinji Mikami lead Capcom Survival Horror, or "Panic Horror" in this case. As Josh, Charlotte, Jon and Maria Roberts wander into the blood soaked metal corridors of the third energy laboratory, they ask themselves, is the removal of zombies and the addition of prehistoric reptiles enough to take this game from under Resident Evil's shadow and carve out its own place in the history of the genre? How do tank controls cope with more agile foes? How many heads does Regina have in her freezer? And finally, is it really necessary for Josh to be this much of a pedant about Dinosaur classification? All this and more, as we discuss 1999's Dino Crisis. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_376.mp3   Music used in this issue: 1.
