#87 - Nashville Series TV Star Talks About Her Journey To Stage & Screen

Known for her role as Scarlett O’Connor on the ABC/CMT musical drama television series “Nashville,” actress and singer/songwriter has had quite the journey to get where she is today... and not all of it good. At the age of 4, doctors diagnosed her with deadly cancer, informing her parents that she had just weeks to live. Working with experimental medicines, she spent a portion of her childhood growing up in a children's hospital. After completing her cancer treatments, she graduated from the University of Wollongong in New South Wales Australia, receiving a Bachelor of Create Arts Degree. Since then, she has gone on to work with such entertainment legends as Zac Brown Band (featured on the Zac Brown Band’s live recording of their #1 hit “Free”), and producer T. Bone Burnett.

In 2012, Bowen landed the role of Scarlett on the hit TV show "Nashville," which she appeared on as a regular for its 6 season run.

Clare has now released her self titled debut album after five years in the making.
