Episode 143 - Odd Hills

In the last few years, there has been a great and invaluable uprising of DJ’s from Northern and Eastern Europe who have been contributed very much to both the international and British techno scene. Odd Hills, born in Lithuania, can be added to that list as well. His great thirst to explore and discover new sounds gave him the opportunity to be introduced in the Vilnius techno scene. Yet it was only after he moved to London he decided to start DJing. If you listen carefully to Odd Hills’ mixes you will hear the influence of his Lithuanian background. His style of techno has proved to be a welcome derivation to the standard style of industrial and hard Berlin techno. His style involves a kaleidoscopic range of experimental techno sounds, ranging from the melodic to the hypnotic dark. Odd Hills is one of the resident DJ’s of Temple Records. Besides a great podcast, Temple also released already two EP’s, and they started hosting their own events. So today I introduce you to the great Odd Hills who created a great exclusive set for us, and I also introduce you to Temple which you have to check out as well. http://www.lowfrequencypodcast.net https://www.facebook.com/lowfrequencypodcast https://soundcloud.com/oddhills https://www.facebook.com/DjOddHills https://soundcloud.com/templerec https://www.facebook.com/Temple.Recordings/ https://templerec.bandcamp.com/
