episode 127: Auf Wiedersehen, Marcel | Kilometre 0

Marcel Kittel's first grand tour stage victory came in the Vuelta a España in 2011 when he beat Peter Sagan and Oscar Freire to the line in Talavera de la Reine.

Late last week, he announced his retirement at the age of 31 and in this episode of Kilometre 0 we speak to some of his former teammates about his career and the reasons he has decided to call it a day.

We hear from Mtich Docker, Luka Mezgec, Ian Boswell and Patrick Lefevere, who was Kittel's boss when the German sprinter was undoubtedly the fastest man in the world.

Thanks to Mitch Docker for allowing us to use material from his podcast Life in the Peloton in this episode.

Kilometre 0 is supported by Hansgrohe showers and taps.
