episode 246: Candid: Nick Greenfield

Nick Greenfield is the co-founder and CEO of Candid, a direct-to-consumer oral healthcare company devoted to patient outcomes. Nick co-founded Candid in 2017 after trying to get his teeth straightened and directly experiencing the high-cost of orthodontic care in America. He and his co-founders are focused on increasing the availability of high-quality remote oral healthcare. Nick is also a Partner at Redesign Health, a venture studio launching world-class consumer health businesses. Previously, he was the COO of Paribus (acquired by Capital One) and was a part of the team that launched Lyft in 2012.

Nick grew up in Maryland and graduated from Stanford in 2011 with a degree in International Relations with a focus on Latin America and Modern Languages. He’s always had the entrepreneurial bug, having worked at, founded, or invested in over a dozen startups. He’s known amongst his friends for his thousand dollar ideas.

Nick currently lives in New York City and spends his spare time chasing a flying disc as semi-pro ultimate frisbee athlete (on a brief hiatus).
