No-one is making house music we love more right now than Manakinz. The newly-minted project of Sub Club legend Harri and his production partner Max, Manakinz make hot, heavy, relentless, chunky-ass house music. Thickly packed with layers of samples, rolling percussion, disco grooves, rasping synths all licked by fat distortion, their tracks absolutely go off in the club. Play one and you’ll see and hear the mood change. We’re ecstatic to be releasing a bunch of their material through Monologues Records over the coming months, kicking off with ‘Robopubez (Rust In Peace)’ on our ‘Dialogue Vol. 4’ vinyl sampler on September 20. We wanted to give them a proper introduction, so here’s their slammin’ mix of unreleased material, with a slew of Monologues bits in there. And Billy Connolly…?

Genre-neutral dance music for all the family.

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?*

Having fun, dub, soul, jazz, afrobeat, house, techno, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Norman Whitfield, Fela Kuti and Henrik Schwarz. We share the same vision, so often swap specs...

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

Cobbled together Thursday and Friday afternoon, using stuff we've just recently made and stuff we made earlier in the year. As for its meaning, we both thought that it sounded good and just hope that others do too.
