Who is this Jesus?
On the Feast of the Transfiguration we encounter a Christ who shines with the glory of heaven, consorts with the greatest leaders of Israel, and is proclaimed the beloved Son of God by the very voice of God. This Jesus reveals his identity as one with the very power that makes everything exist. Is that, however, the whole story? Matthew tells us there is another whole side to the identity of this Jesus.
