In a week most of us won't soon forget, a lot of time was spent on the show listening to important press releases. People like; Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Premier Jason Kenny, Mayor Naheed Nenshi and Calgary Emergency Management Agency Chief Tom Sampson shared important news and views on the novel Coronavirus Pandemic. 

But in an attempt to metaphorically flatten the curve of fear Joe also made sure to sprinkle in moments of community and togetherness. 

Stories like that of Country Manager of the Nextdoor App Christopher Doyle, Executive Director of Fresh Routes Lourdes Juan, a local story about celebrating small things even in times of social isolation with Michelle Roche, CEO of Immigrant Services Calgary Hyder Hassan, Advanced Care Paramedic Laura Szaraka or Executive Director for the Federation of Calgary Communities Leslie Evans. 

Calgary Today urges people to remember the words of Mayor Naheed Nenshi in these extraordinary times. "Clean Hands, Clear Heads, Open Hearts."
