Mongoland Podcast

Melt into your melted mirror for an electrifying ride. Look deep into the black of Mongo's melting mirror eyes. See yourself reflecting him reflecting you reflecting him reflecting you until you melt together and sink deep into the other side. As you melt into Mongo's mirror, you lose yourself into the pool of liquid mirror, see into the looking glass, sink deep within its pool, and straddle the dimensions in time. I'll see you there ... along with my friends ... in Mongoland. A place for electronic dance music ... that you can listen to.

Hour 1: Tech House, Deep House Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.
Set 1: Tech House, Deep House Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.
We begin with the first of three tracks from Hunter/Game's new release, Adaptation.  Then a new track with a retro sound from Anjunadeep by Journeyman.  With BEFORE.NOW.AFTER we define the three realms.  We Are So Animal is the first of several tracks on Armada's new label, The Bearded Man, which serves as a nice build-up to what is essentially a Ska tune: Rodney P and DJ Die's Holes In The Building (feat. Indigo Kid).  Then into the first of two tracks from Danito & Athina from their new Fire EP, and we conclude with the opening of Allenby from the Audio Junkies. Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.

Set 2:  Techno, Tech House, Deep House Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.
We pick it up with the conclusion of Allenby and then on to the second of the two Danito & Athina tracks from the Fire EP.  Then the second of three from Hunter/Game, leading into a stellar track, We Get High (the Eagles & Butterflies remix), which takes us to the third of three from Hunter/Game, and finally into a sweet conclusion with a track by Y.V.E. which at 03:27 is still classified as an "extended mix." Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.

Hour 2: Drum & Bass
Set 3: Tech House, Electro House, Progressive House, Deep House  Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.
We open the second hour with a track by Guti as we begin the completion of our excursion through sub-genres of House music.  In fact, Technolympic is a rare example of Electro House on this show.  But not to worry, as Audio Noir brings us back to the realm of Progressive House before Matt Holliday delivers a bit of Techno to bridge us to the set closer, a beautiful Deep House track from Bit Pythagoras.  Too bad I had to split the set on that.  Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.

Set 4: Drum & Bass Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.
In the home stretch, we pick it up with the conclusion of that Catamaran track, only to springboard into a DNB Fest to close things out.  The DNB opens and closes with the A & B sides of Loadstar's latest single, and sandwiched in between are some featured tracks from Fokuz Recordings and a label that is new to me, Minus 32 Recordings.  The latter manifests as a release called Rage Revenge, and with a title like that, I'm sure your ears will find the matching tracks.  Drum & Bass, Tech House, Deep House.
