This week: Environment and Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg thanked the Jewish and general community for the support he received over the allegation of him having dual citizenship, due to his mothers Hungarian origin and inspite of her being listed as Stateless prior to coming to Australia, having had her Hungarian citizenship taken away from her during WWII. - Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull met with representatives of the Beersheba Dialogue group of Australian and Israeli strategists, analysts and defence experts and praised their work and achievements such as the recently signed memorandum of understanding for defence industry cooperation, which he signed with Israeli PM Netanyahu, and which established an annual strategic defence dialogue and launched two initiatives, an aviation cargo security initiative and protection of crowded places initiative and among other issues. - The Greens leader Senator Richard Di Natale criticised PM Turnbull over the Australian and Israeli defence MOU and asked whether PM Turnbull raised the concern over Israeli settlements with PM Netanyahu, which are in flagrant violation of international, and he was in turn criticised by the president of the ECAJ Anton Block over his selective and shortsighted views of the Israeli-Australian relationship. - The Labor Premier of Victoria Daniel Andrews will visit Israel next month to develop the already strong relationships between that states and Israels research, commerce, cyber and medicine technology industries and meet with the Israeli Premier Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Labor Party Leader Avi Gabbay.
