Changes to SNAP food stamp eligibility will take effect on April 1st, which could mean big changes for single “able-bodied” adults.
Which is why Margarette Purvis, president and CEO of Food Bank for New York City, is expecting a big spike in soup kitchen and food bank attendance
Purvis explains what’s going to change with this policy (which she calls "half-baked" and "cruel" because we don't have the systems in place to employ every person looking for a job) and how it’ll affect adults who use SNAP.
