The Impact of the African-American Vote

This is the first installment of what will be a series of "surrogate" interviews with representatives of each of the candidates in the 2016 election. We want to be completely transparent about this process, so here’s what we’re planning on doing: we’ll be reaching out to “surrogates” for each of the candidates (of both parties). Any time a surrogate accepts and appears on our show, we’ll offer an equal opportunity to surrogates of their opposing candidates. It will be up to them to accept the offer.

Congressman John Lewis (D-GA), a Hillary Clinton surrogate and civil rights activist, talks about the state of the race and the impact of the African-American vote, especially in New York City.
