At the young age of just 20 years old and studying at Howard University, Tahir Murray is already creating storms in the fashion world.

Tahir is the founder and CEO of ‘Legacy History Pride’ which is a luxury brand created specifically to embrace and encompass the individuality and richness of Black culture, the beauty of black history, and creating awareness about HBCU communities (historically black colleges and universities). 

Tahir built this brand with an excellent motive in mind and immense support from his family and friends. While the description of his brand states luxury, according to him that has no correlation with price tag but it is about the mindset. The luxury in his brand is defined by the legacy, history, and pride that is embedded in his culture and represented in his clothes. 

During his interview with Subject Thread Podcast, Tahir talked about how his love for arts developed and how it has evolved him into the person he is today. He talked about his experience of being a part of an HBCU University, Why he created Legacy History Pride, School Of Hard Knocks clothing brand, and He even shared with us how NBA Superstar, Chris Paul, became an ambassador for LHP. 

Tahir hopes that his clothing line can do justice in celebrating and highlighting the magnificent and enriched art culture and the HBCU community.
