Podcast TopicsKen is joined by Taelon, the Council Youth Commissioner for Northern Lights Council (the Scouts Canada council that covers northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories), and Pascal, the outgoing CYC for Chinook Council (which covers southern Alberta), to discuss the Alberta Youth Network. This initiative exists to help ensure that youth leadership occurs in a meaningful way within Scouting in Alberta, gives youth an opportunity to provide direction in the programming their Groups engage in, and encourages youth to find opportunities for leadership. And best of all, every Scout in Alberta is already a member.Note: At the time this episode was recorded, Pascal was in fact the Council Youth Commissioner for Chinook Council. However, as of this week, he has announced that he is stepping down from the position, as his next co-op work term will see him sent off to Fort McMurray, Alberta, for up to sixteen months.
