episode 3: On LeBron and Obama, Danny Green's Season, and Buying Fish's House

It's an election edition of the Land O'Lakers podcast! With angst at an all time high in America, we give everyone a little of what they want.

For the politics fans, we start on a few timely stories. On a day where attendees at a Trump rally chanted "LeBron James sucks!" much to the president's approval, we ask if sports and politics will ever be disentangled again (which assumes, of course, they ever were). What did people miss about the player protests in the bubble? And what do we make of all the new, detailed, and often excellent reporting on the political contributions of owners in American team sports, including the NBA?

For fans of Lakers analysis, we introduce a new offseason segment called "Let's Talk About a Laker." Today, it's Danny Green, and we ask the question "Did Danny Green have a good year?" The answer is a little more complicated than it might seem, actually. Especially when considering next season.

Anyone in the real estate market? You can buy Derek Fisher's former residence in Tarzana! Only $2.5 million, which given the photos at least and the skyrocketing costs of real estate in L.A., actually seems like a pretty good deal. But how much extra would you pay to say you live in Fish's old house? How about Kobe? Jerry West? James Worthy?

Slava Medvedenko? (We start the bidding at eleventybillion dollars...)

Finally, we finish with something for the movie buffs, discussing the life and career of Sean Connery, who died last weekend at the age of 90.
