Pleasure Central Radio

Hi! My name is Radiant Rebecca. I'm a polyamorous woman (aka an ethical slut), a courtesan, and a tango dancer. I love to make people blush. Especially if it makes them think! This podcast is about love. And my love life. And my … um, sex life. In each episode, you will hear me in rich, intimate, brainy conversations with my partners, lovers, and curious friends. We will share with you, often in real-time, how we navigate relationship transitions and jealousy, fighting nicely, practice partnership, communicate consciously about sex, money, and more. Expect big chunks of useful information and science geekery, a lot of inspiration, and a dash of magic on top… and of course, lots of talk about pleasure and its manifestations! I believe that TRUE pleasure improves us, and I aim to follow true pleasure wherever it leads. I'm not always right. But I'm always enjoying myself! Care to join me?

episode 23: Knee Deep in Shift

The dissolution of the triad, baseline expectations, not knowing you are broken up with, getting dumped twice in one day, Standards of Conduct, trusting others to mean what they say and say what they mean.

"I suspect this type of episode would be a little uncomfortable and emotional to record. For me, the realness and a sense of vulnerability that comes out really pull on me. Thanks for sharing!" - Beta Listener

2:10 - Buddy Wakefield, Pretend poem - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d638yvohVnw

8:31 - a downside of poly - you can be broken up with twice in one day!

12:05 - explaining “Baseline” expectations

13:22 - Rebecca shares her own “baseline” expectations

14:40 - Daniel Sloss - Jigsaw reference - The 3D Jigsaw Puzzle Solution - https://pleasurecentralradio.com/podcast/the-3d-jigsaw-puzzle-solution/

18:00 What does commitment mean inside of a poly relationship?

19:26 There is a huge amount of freedom IN commitment

23:35 - Are there rules for relationships that work for both poly and monogamous relationships?

24:32 - call them Standards of Conduct, rather than rules

Examples of Standards of Conduct (these are some of Rebecca's)

  1. Learn to fight nice.
  2. Say what you mean, mean what you say.
  3. Always honor yourself first.
  4. I’m responsible for my own feelings, and I’m responsible for how I respond. And, I am not responsible for my partner’s feelings, nor am I responsible for how they respond.
  5. Talk about Expectations (because no two people have the exact same expectations of any relationship).
  6. I WON’T be hidden.
