episode 4: #4 Let's talk about mental health pt.1 – addressing my binge-eating disorder and how I healed


Happy (late) new year guys ! The holidays are over and we're (finally) in 2021. The just passed Christmas and new year's spirit can be very overwhelming and exhausting for those who have, or still struggle with an eating disorder, since we are surrounded by so much more food and often very unrealistic New Years resolutions. To start this year on a mindful note, I want to share my own personal experience I had with the binge eating disorder and body dysmorphia in my earlier teenage years. I'll also look back at how I've healed and overcame this experience until today ( I am still struggling sometimes, since healing is not a linear process). This is another two-part episode so, I'll get more into dealing with relapsing, social media, tips and more in the next part. I hope that this will remind you to look after your mental wellbeing and not loose faith in yourself. Please remember, that there is always help and it is not your fault that you're struggling. Life is hard ! We all have to overcome certain challenges in life, even if they seem unfair. And we all can overcome these burdens somehow. Please be kind to yourself and allow yourself to feel.
