episode 139: Kilometre 0 Worlds Stories: Never too late

Edwige Pitel competed at the world road race championship in Innsbruck for France. She has been racing for 15 years, including at the Athens Olympics in 2004, and was French road race champion in 2016.

She was 49 then and is 51 now — and still riding at the highest level. She also works as a computer engineer and manages her season with care, not racing week in, week out but selecting her targets and regularly beating women half her age. In this episode of Kilometre 0 we hear her remarkable story.

Thank you to Balint Hamvas (@cyclephotos) for providing the photograph for this episode.
