episode 58: Stage 17 | Commezzadura – Anterselva | Giro d’Italia 2019

A surprise winner and a skirmish between the overall contenders marked the seventeenth stage of the Giro d’Italia, which saw the race enter the German speaking part of Italy.
In the podcast Richard Moore and Daniel Friebe are joined by Ciro Scognamiglio and there are interviews with Mikel Landa, Hugh Carthy, Esteban Chaves, Larry Warbasse, Ben O’Connor and a very frustrated and disappointed Bob Jungels, whose Giro has not gone according to plan. We also hear Gianni Savio’s latest tactical masterclass and eavesdrop on a Slovenian cycling fan berating Primoz Roglic’s sports director at the finish.
The Cycling Podcast is supported by Rapha and Science in Sport.
