episode 61: Stage 19 | Treviso – San Martino di Castrozza | Giro d’Italia 2019

After twelve months of health problems, Esteban Chaves returned to the top step of the podium, by winning in San Martino di Castrozza in the Dolomites, as the overall contenders shadow boxed before Saturday’s final day in the mountains.
Richard Moore and Daniel Friebe review all the action and look ahead to the crucial penultimate stage. There are interviews with Chaves’s Mitchelton-Scott teammates Lucas Hamilton and Chris Juul-Jensen, and also with Vincenzo Nibali, Hugh Carthy and Max Sciandri, sports director at Movistar, the team of the overall leader, Richard Carapaz.
