@BrianLehrer my wife and I have made new parent friends on our little Roosevelt Island. We got pregnant during quarantine and we're due in February, so have new parent friends and taking walks has been a big coping and support system
— Rich Hackman (@richardkhackman) January 29, 2021@BrianLehrer - Using remote jamming apps, I've made friends with folk musicians all over the country and the world, UK, Scotland, even Australia. We chat as well as play music; recently added zoom (video only) to see each other.
— Jake (@jm36041470) January 29, 2021@BrianLehrer I started having bad movie night once a week from a friend from high school using zoom and he invited a friend from college to join in and now we're friends. We talk then cue up the movie at the same time and chat online. I've seen some terrible & funny films! 😂
— Dan McNamara (@TheKingOfPeens) January 29, 2021@BrianLehrer greetings from the Hudson Valley. Regarding the friend question, I find myself socializing mostly w fellow dog owners these days. hikes & play dates have become the new dinner date.
— Niva Dorell (@nivaladiva) January 29, 2021@BrianLehrer in the last few months of the pandemic I've reconnected with a college friend I'd barely seen in years. we used to spend long shifts together in the lab making experimental pavement. now we talk on the phone for 90 minutes at a time, as often as once a week
