Saira Rao & Regina Jackson, co-founded 'Race2Dinner' in 2019 to facilitate conversations with white women about systemic racism against Black, Indigenous and Women of Color. The goal of 'Race2Dinner' is to reveal what (BIPOC) Black, Indigenous and Women of color have always seen: 'white privilege' and white women's complicity with being part of and benefiting from a racist system. The question underlying 'Race2Dinner' is can white women begin to use their power and privilege to dismantle racism rather than to uphold it? According to Saira & Regina, the revolution has to be served in reality as a raw and refreshing conversation over dinner. Saira Rao is a lawyer by training a formal congressional candidate, a published novelist and an entrepreneur. She has a graduate of the University of Virginia and NYU law school in New York city.
