episode 8: DOUG ALDRICH (THE DEAD DAISIES) (full english version)

This week I'll take you across the big ocean to meet Mr. Doug Aldrich in Los Angeles, California. The guitarist with his golden Les Paul has been one of the most sought-after musicians and songwriters for years, which he has already proven at his works with DIO and WHITESNAKE.

For five years he has been setting the tone for the artist collective THE DEAD DAISIES, who have just hit the worldwide album charts with their new album "Holy Ground". All friends of the 70s oriented heavy rock with great poses and massive grooves will enjoy this - which could also be due to the participation of a new bandmember called Glenn Hughes, who gave the Daisies a new hearty fragrance with his unmistakable singing and bass playing. But form your own judgment if we listen to the songs right away.

In our conversation we talk of course all about the new record, but also about his interpretation of a "Holy Ground", which for family man Doug Aldrich is primarily his German wife and his two children.

I caught Doug in his studio with the signature guitar in his arms - one day after the Superbowl final and that's how our conversation started with this topic.

The new album "Holy Ground" can be purchased here
