episode 11: 3 Brilliant Leadership Lessons by Tom Brady

Tom Brady shares nuggets of success in this episode and some leadership tips and lessons you will surely learn from. Tom is an American football quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League where he spent the first 20 seasons of his career with the New England Patriots. He was also a core contributor to the franchise's dynasty from 2001 to 2019.

2017 AFC Championship Game Against the Steelers

[1:06]

During the postgame coverage, one of the reporters complimented Tom. He responded, "the game did not start today at 6:40pm. It started days or even months before that." And he went on to compliment his teammates in terms of their chemistry, understanding, their rigorous practice schedule, and how they're able to stick together.

[1:42]

"The game did not start today at 6:30pm" was such a sweet statement for me to hear. And it got me thinking about how leaders think, how they approach success and failure, and how they can bounce back.

The Key Points of a Leader and Tom Brady's Success

[2:14]

Champions never quit. Leaders are not quitters. Leaders always have a future orientation, and they don't live in the past.

[3:15]

Leaders are champions, and they stay in the game. After losing to the Giants, Brady responded, "I would keep coming back to the game. I would rather suffer a defeat rather than not playing at all." That's another massive takeaway for me that leaders stay in the game. They are passionate enough about staying in the game. They know that losing is just one transient point. What matters is staying true to your passion and what you love.

[4:51]

Leaders know that success doesn't happen overnight. Success doesn't come free. The key to success lies in the preparation. It takes a lot of perseverance, dedication, and commitment.

[5:05]

The journey to the mountain starts one single step at a time. Leaders know that bringing consistency by letting them ingrained through consistent habits will allow them to move one step at a time. It will enable them to achieve quick wins that will essentially percolate by quality to measure which.

[5:58]

If you're looking forward to achieving success, or a victory or a win, one year from down the road or two years down the road, you have to remember that your game has to begin today. You need to incorporate it and ingrain yourself with consistent, successful habits.
