episode 24: Coach Chelsea talks Servant Leadership with Cortney Braswell, Inside Linebacker Coach for The United States Military Academy West Point
Coach Braswell has just joined the Army West Point staff. As the outside linebackers assistant coach at Appalachian State in 2020, Braswell helped lead a defensive unit that ranked 18th nationally in total defense as the Mountaineers went 9-3 and won the Myrtle Beach Bowl with a 56-28 victory over North Texas. The App State defense ranked in the top three in multiple Sun Belt defensive categories, including second in pass defense and second in total defense. Braswell was also a key national recruiter for the Mountaineers.
Coach Braswell was the first-ever 1st-year head coach to have a winning season while coaching at Ridgeland High School. Not only this but he was also selected as the Head Coach for the Tennessee vs. Georgia All-Star Game. With all of his accomplishments and hard work, he was also named AFCA 35 Under 35. "It is the honor of my life to serve our young men in the Brotherhood who've dedicated their lives to the service of others." Such a statement from an amazing servant leader.
