The Call with Nancy Sabato

This is been on my heart for such a long time, why do Pastors bring up politics, social justice or their opinions to the pulpit where God‘s word alone belongs. I understand if issues that are clearly against God are spoken about but what about giving people something to hope for?   How about giving them something they long to hear about and that’s Jesus.  In the book of Malachi- chapter 2 , Malachi is speaking to the priests about their offerings but as we read further down Malachi is warning them they are to be God’s messengers. Malachi in the verses of 7 & 8 say: “For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge and from his mouth men should seek instruction because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty. vs 8-But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble you have violated the covenant with Levi says the Lord Almighty.  They didn’t know God‘s will and they were leading people astray this is serious and my prayer is that you will be given a discernment to what truly will give you hope. When leaders lead you down paths that are not Bible based, maybe more like “me” focused or what outside influencers say then it’s best for you have that listening ear to know what the Bible says about itching ears:  2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.  In the last days, people will be led astray and pastors are more accountable to God than ever as to where they lead you.
