Facebook has a growing problem with hate speech, and the German government is demanding that the social networking platform tackle the issue. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg visits Berlin to answer his critics.The US company is spending €1 million on its Online Civil Courage Initiative to tackle extremism and hatred. It’s supported by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the German Justice Ministry. Critics are skeptical about its effectiveness, and have questioned which criteria will be used. Might too much content end up filtered?
