Market depth lists all buy and sell orders in the market for a particular stock. If you wish to see if there is sufficient stock to sell a particular market, you can quickly check how many orders exist, and at which prices. This is particularly important for certain interest rate stocks.
The markets depth table situated below it and gives you the top bid and cheapest offer, last traded price, the day’s open, high, low and close and the volume traded.
The market depth is split into those wanting to buy and those wanting to sell. It’s then further broken down into the prices that those buyers and sellers are willing to buy or sell at.
