This episode of the podcast is with a giant within the S&C industry, Keir Wenham-Flatt, a.k.a. The Rugby Strength Coach.
Keir is the founder of the Strength Coach Network, where he now works full time. He has formerly worked with the Argentina Rugby Union, London Wasps, Sydney Roosters, Toshiba in Japan and William & Mary in the United States.
We chatted about the various coaching environments he's worked in and what separates the good from the bad. We also touched on how he works to achieve buy-in with athletes, how we actually affect performance in competition, the line between S&C and skills coaching and the application of jiu-jitsu/grapple work to contact sport.
