Patrick Murray, the director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, talks about national politics with an eye on New Jersey voters.
First, let's clear up an important misconception: if you are an unaffiliated voter in New Jersey (that is, you have no party affiliation), you can show up at the primary polls on June 7th and pick a party and ballot on the spot, says Murray. It is NOT a true closed primary, as has been widely reported.
