FDA Asked To Authorize First Pill To Treat Covid-19

The FDA has been asked by Merck to authorize the first pill to treat Covid-19. Merck says that the experimental pill cuts the covid death risk in half. However cases, deaths and hospitalizations are starting to decline as the United States may be turning the corner in the pandemic. FDA advisers are to meet this week about Moderna and Johnson & Johnson boosters.
Former President Donald Trump and his enablers keep peddling the election fraud lie ahead of 2024, as the investigation of the insurrection intensifies. Schiff says that the January 6 committee should get Trump documents "very soon." Also, the January 6 panel is considering criminal contempt for Steve Bannon and other Trump allies who defy their subpoenas.
