Aleksander Čeferin is a Slovenian lawyer and football administrator. Between 2011 and 2016, he was President of the Football Association of Slovenia. Since 14 September 2016, he has been the president of UEFA.
The UEFA Champions League is an annual club football competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations and contested by top-division European clubs, deciding the competition winners through a group and knockout format.
A European Super League consisting of football clubs from across Europe has been discussed since the 1990s. It has been proposed several times, most recently for the 2021–2022 season, but to date none of the proposals have kicked off.
Andrea Agnelli is an Italian businessman and chairman of Italian football club Juventus F.C. Since 2012, he has also served as Executive Member and Chairman of the European Club Association, and was also appointed to the UEFA Executive Committee since 2015. He is a member of the industrialist Agnelli family.
