This is an original promo copy from the Louise Neal 45 Collection. Wow! "Shovin'" pounds so hard from the get-go it just demands your attention — and you're happy to oblige if a fan of Motown-style Northern Soul. The B side is almost as good and equally danceable. Note: This 45 is among those in the Neal collection that she may have actually played, and which apparently spent some of their life outside a protective sleeve. This copy has Near Mint labels with a touch of ringwear (see scan); there's also a small pink promo star stamped on the A label. The vinyl (styrene) looks a bit scuffed in spots, grading a strong EX. The audio is Near Mint, reflecting a faint touch of distortion but mostly free of surface noise. Have a listen to the mp3 snippet to hear what I mean. The B side audio has no distortion and approaches Mint.
