episode 3: 003 Mirroring Communication & Behaviour

Zone in to improve your Business English

In this solo episode, I talk about how to mirror those around you to communicate and behave in a way that is acceptable and appropriate for the situation you are in, even if you are in an unfamiliar culture. No stalking of staring though, please ;-)

Use a mirroring technique to start using more business appropriate language and build your confidence.

I also talk about why reading business relevant news and other texts, although passive helps you to build vocabulary and start thinking in English. Now all you have to do is activate that language so that it becomes your own.

Tweet - Instead of zoning out, use those familiar conversations to actively listen to how people express themselves - zone in.

This week I have created an English/English Quizlet for you based on the vocabulary in this podcast. http://bit.ly/c2gEp003 I hope you enjoy it, let me know if you like this more than the crosswords from the previous episodes - which are still available at www.bytesizedenglish.com/podcast
