episode 1: True Native Media

Hello, my name is Heather Osgood, and I'm the founder of True Native Media, a thriving podcast representation firm working with some of the most effective podcast influencers in the space.

At True Native Media, our role is to connect podcasts with advertisers. The foundation of our organization is the host read endorsement ad. We believe that podcast hosts are influencers. Audio is one of the most powerful tools around. And when the listener develops an audio relationship, it holds tremendous potential. Podcast listeners feel like the host of their favorite shows are friends. And that's why when a host recommends a product; it feels like a friend is telling them the inside scoop about some cool new find they just made. We have found, as many of our advertisers have, that the podcasts with smaller audiences are the most effective.

The reason: listeners don't listen because the host has some superstar status.

They listen because they know, like, and trust the host. At True Native Media, we currently represent about 70 different podcasts, and we don't take that representation lightly. We focus on a handful of genres, including business, education, true crime, health, and lifestyle, amongst some others. And we have an excellent selection of female and male-skewing podcasts. It is super important to us that all of the podcasts we represent have high quality, both in their content and in their partnership relationships. We stand behind the podcast we represent, knowing that we can trust the host to deliver consistent quality to their audiences and advertisers.

When working with True Native Media, our partners can feel confident that their campaign will receive the oversight and attention that not all agencies can deliver. We work one-on-one with direct advertisers and agency partners to make sure hosts can have sample products, talking points, and any other elements that they need to run a smooth campaign. We ensure ads have run and the campaign reporting is provided. We also offer attribution tracking and campaign creation support for companies looking to enter the podcast ad space. Having placed over 50,000 ads over the last five years, we know what success looks like when it comes to advertisers.

Our objective is to understand an advertiser's goals and their target market so that we can partner them with podcasts that make sense and meet their needs. We've worked primarily with direct response advertisers, but we also work with brand campaigns.

We intend to make podcast ad buying easy for advertisers, so we're pleased to share with you our diverse catalog of show offerings in this UpNext. We'll bring long-time host and podcast icon Pat Flynn's Smart Passive Income to you. You'll experience financial advice with Millennial Money.
