episode 3: Laws That Protect Criminals?

Welcome to Hashing Out the Law, with Arash Hashemi. On this episode our guest is Larry Newman. Larry is former Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deputy and detective, as well as first responder, volunteer firefighter, police officer, probation and parole volunteer.

He is currently the President of the Missouri Alliance of Professional Bail Bond Agents and has worked closely with lawmakers and other individuals on bail matters.

He offers his perspective on the reasons behind the rise in crime, which he suggests lies in a variety of new laws that do more to protect criminal defendants than they do the general public.
