On this weeks episode I speak to Ben Hunt – Davis  about the success ingredients for setting goals. You do not want to miss this enlightening conversation where we dig deep into success with an eye on performance.

 

1.  Be clear on your goals

Layer your goals:

a.  Create a Crazy Goal

b.  Concrete Layer: when, how, success measures, how will I know when I have achieved this goal?

c.   Control Layer: What can we do to achieve this crazy goal?

d.  Everyday layer: What actions do I need to do every day to achieve this goal?

2.  Focus on performance: How did this go? What this a good use of my time? How can I get better next time?  

3.  Get help: Who do I need to support me in achieving this goal?

 

Ben Hunt-Davis is a performance expert, coach, facilitator and keynote speaker. He is also Co-author of “Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?”, the story of how the Great Britain’s men’s eight crew won an Olympic Gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Ben has spent the last 16 years specializing in leadership and team development and in 2012 he co-founded Will It Make The Boat Go Faster?, a performance consultancy which seeks to transform organizational performance through the adoption of elite sport principles and strategies. Ben and his team have a highly practical approach which focuses heavily focused on the application of performance habits, mindsets and beliefs. Their aim is to ensure that participants genuinely apply new ways of working and behave differently to achieve greater results.

Ben is still involved in the Olympic movement having been a member of the Team GB staff at the last 4 Summer Olympics.
